What Is a Full House Rewire?
A full house rewire involves replacing all of the electrical wiring, sockets, switches, and in most cases, the consumer unit (fuse box) throughout your property. An EICR is a formal inspection and test of your home’s entire electrical installation, carried out by a qualified electrician. The report identifies any damage, deterioration, defects, or departures from current safety standards, classifying findings by urgency:
- C1 (Danger present) – Immediate action required
- C2 (Potentially dangerous) – Urgent remedial work needed
- C3 (Improvement recommended) – Not immediately unsafe but advisable
- FI (Further investigation) – Further investigation required before classification
