Kford Electrical Installations Ltd is a family run business based in Kingswinford, serving the West Midlands and beyond. Founded after the 2008 financial crash, we’ve grown from a single van to a skilled team of electricians and apprentices, committed to delivering reliable, high quality electrical services.

We specialise in everything from rewires and consumer unit upgrades to EV chargers, outdoor power, and lighting. Our focus is on clear communication, honest pricing, and treating every home with care and respect. Many of our customers come through recommendation, with relationships built across generations of families.

With decades of experience, a passion for training young talent, and strong family values, we pride ourselves on being approachable, trustworthy tradesmen who deliver safe, professional, and long lasting results.

KFord Electrical, a local and trusted family run business

Our founder, Andrew Hunter, began his career in electrical installation at 18 and quickly built experience working on new build developments across the Midlands. In 2008, the financial crash gave him the push to follow his ambition of running his own business, leading to the creation of Kford Electrical. His hands on approach and belief in fairness and honesty still guide the business today.

Away from work, Andrew is a lifelong Kingswinford resident and a family man. He enjoys football with his son, staying active at the gym, and walking his much loved dog who often joins him on jobs and is a favourite with customers. His approachable nature and strong values are at the heart of Kford Electrical’s reputation for trust and quality.

At Kford Electrical Installations Ltd we pride ourselves on giving honest advice on your homes electrical installation. If a rewire is recommended rest assured the process will be stress free. We communicate the whole process with you, clean up at every stage and have an in house plastering service available to repair any damage.

Home Safety Inspection

A clear, structured electrical Home Safety Inspection covering the important safety features around your home — with key findings recorded and relevant areas photographed for your digital report.

The inspection is designed as a practical annual safety check for the home. It is not a full Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR); it focuses on the key electrical safety features and accessible areas we have agreed to inspect.

At Kford Electrical Installation Ltd we only install the latest consumer units, this means as standard each one comes with a built in Surge protective device and all circuits are protected by individual RCBO units which minimise disruption to your power supply in the event of a fault.

They came to help with electrical wiring outside of the fireplace and fit a new light fitting in our bedroom. We had plasterers in doing work at the same time and they were great working around each other to get the job done. I work from home and they managed to be as fast as possible so that I could get back onto my laptop. I asked them last minute to help fit a plug in our fireplace so that we can have an electric fireplace and they were very accommodating and able to do it immediately. Thank you to both of them.
